South Gippsland Shire Council’s Draft 2026/27 Budget, including the Long‑term Financial Plan 2026/27–2035/36, is now open for community feedback.

The Draft Budget has been informed by early pre‑budget community consultation, which took place from 16 October to 21 November 2025. Feedback received during this period has helped shape a budget that is measured, responsible and responsive, while recognising the current economic uncertainty and cost pressures facing both Council and the community.

The Draft Budget outlines how Council proposes to allocate resources to deliver essential services and maintain infrastructure while undertaking important projects and strategies that will help shape South Gippsland's future.

The Long‑term Financial Plan also provides transparency around how Council plans to manage its finances sustainably over the next 10 years. Community input is an important part of Council’s budget process. We encourage you to review the Draft Budget and share your views.

Feedback closes Sunday 3 May 2026.
