Expression of Interest - Leongatha Memorial Hall Precinct Project Reference Group
Be part of shaping the new Leongatha Memorial Hall Precinct.
Leongatha Memorial Hall is due for renewal, and Council's Arts, Culture and Creative Industries Strategy recognises the facility as an appropriate site to investigate a development into a multi-use performance space.
More information on the Project can be found here - where you can also provide your feedback on the current precinct.
To support the development of a Feasibility Study, Business Case and Functional Design for the Precinct, Council is keen to include members of the community as part of a voluntary Project Reference Group.
Role of the Reference Group
Bring your local knowledge, individual skills and passion to help guide this Project.
The roles and responsibilities of this group are defined in the Terms of Reference, which you can find here. These will be discussed and agreed upon at the Group's first meeting (earmarked for May 2025).
The Reference Group will meet at various times throughout the year and provide local advice and recommendations to South Gippsland Shire Council's Project team.
Who Are We Looking For?
The Project Reference Group will be made up of eight to 10 local representatives appointed through this Expression of Interest process.
We want members who will share project progress with their family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, and provide sensible, balanced feedback about the planning and implementation of the Project.
Membership will ideally have a mix of ages, genders, diverse cultures and languages, and a broad range of life experience.
Further details about who we are looking for can be found in the Expression of Interest document here.
Expressions of Interest close Sunday 13 April 2025.
