Council is seeking feedback on plans for the new skate park that will be delivered as part of the Korumburra Railway Precinct Project. The skate park is aimed at beginners and intermediate skaters and will be located near the new BBQ shelter and toilet block.
Due to the skate park site being adjacent to a heritage precinct, there are certain restrictions to the design, the most significant being the size of the skate park which cannot be expanded.
In addition, there are restrictions on the types of structures, heights, materials and colours that can be applied to preserve the character of the surrounding area. While every effort will be made to accommodate as many user preferences as possible, the final design will need to balance functionality with heritage requirements and budget constraints.
