Council at its ordinary meeting held 10 December 2025 pursuant to section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 resolved to commence the community engagement process to enter into a lease of the land to the Fish Creek Football Netball Club shown below with an area of 1,654m2. being parts of the land contained within Lot 17 and Lot 18 LP4377. The lease will include but not limited to the following provisions:
The lease shall be for the land only;
The term of the lease shall be 50 years;
The rent shall be the standard community rental fixed from time to time in Council’s leasing policy, currently $104.00 plus GST per annum;
The permitted use of the land shall be for the construction and use of a new building for club rooms and associated community purposes
A person may make a submission to this proposal.
Submissions are to be received no later than by 5.00pm Wednesday 25 February 2026 and must be addressed to the CEO, 9 Smith Street Leongatha Vic 3953. Any person making a submission is entitled to be heard in support of the submission. If a person or a representative wishes to be heard in support of the submission, they must state this in their submission.
Copies of the submitter’s name and address will be disclosed at any public Council meeting at which the proposal will be considered.
