Proposed 2024/25 Budget and Long Term Financial Plan

At South Gippsland Shire Council, we actively work with our residents to ensure that decisions are made in line with community expectations while meeting Council’s overall direction. When developing the Proposed 2024/25 Budget and Long Term Financial Plan, Council juggled challenges such as the global economic climate and escalating costs in the building industry, with the delivery of services, capital works and new initiatives.

The rising cost of living was also considered in decision making along with the pressure of needing to deliver more with less, within a rate capped environment.

Despite these challenges, we are pleased to present a financially sustainable and responsible Proposed Budget and Financial Plan that carefully consider the needs of our local community and aligns closely with the objectives listed in the 2022-26 Council Plan.
